Description: This item was Tiffany-inspired from their famous Atlas (R) Collection of jewelry with a Roman Numeral motif. This design was named after their original Clock that has crowned the entrance to their New York City store since the 1850's.
Roman Numerals were created by the Roman Empire as their number system. They used a combination of letters from their Latin alphabet to signify values. Here are numbers 1 through 10 in their system: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X. Numbers I through VI appear on the shank of this Ring. The background has been carved out to reveal them.
